Submit Review

So you want to write a review? Sweet. Trust us, you’ll get hooked. We’ll help you get started. First things first - let’s decide on how you want to get this going. [Scroll to the bottom of the page if you want to skip the sales pitch and just go anonymous]

You can elect to be a registered writer for Chewru OR write from an anonymous standpoint. Which to choose? We’ll go over them both:

Registered Users:

- Share in a weighted portion of our ad revenue
- Can develop a following and a ‘name’
- Can post under an alias, not personally identifiable
- Have a better dialog with Chewru admins regarding reviews
- Are allowed to email us (through a specific address) future reviews

Unregistered (Anonymous) Users:

- Forfeit any financial benefit to submitting reviews
- May not have the same credibility as registered users
- May have reviews rejected without explanation.
- Submissions documented by IP address

Yes, we think it’s a lot cooler to register.

If you want to contribute without the fanfare, you can continue to submit via the form below. Your submission will be shown by your IP address to prevent abuse (similar to how wikipedia treats anonymous users). We want your content, but we want to be safe too. =)

Some guidelines for reviews:

- We’re pretty tolerant of any legitimate opinion, but if it’s clear you haven’t visited the establishment, or it’s clear there’s some wacky personal-agenda-ahab-white-whale-kinda-thing going on, we’re going to reject your submission outright.

- In general, try to provide some sort of introduction, a body, and a conclusion. There are no minimum or maximum lengths, but use some common sense to provide enough information that may offer the casual visitor at least a very basic overview.

- Scores are subjective. The whole concept of an ‘average’ means that the majority of our scores are going to gravitate slightly above or slightly below the 2.5 mark, but when scoring things very high or very low try to use as much detail as possible to explain your decision. Keep in mind user voting may totally disagree with you. The more users like your reviews, the more credibility you’ll earn. In the future, we’ll have some sort of prestige system to reward reviewers who generally get it right (according to the public).
